About Carlisle's Flexible Polypropolyene - Reinforced

Carlisle's reinforced polypropylene (fPP-R) is a heat-weldable polyester reinforced sheet that is designed for long-term use in buried or exposed geomembrane applications, specifically liners and floating covers. The membrane consists of a durable polyester fabric (scrim) sandwiched between two polypropylene-based top and bottom plies. This combination provides superior durability as well as enhanced tear and puncture resistance. The monolithic, reinforced geomembrane is watertight, providing minimal water vapour permeance and water absorption, and resistance to soil bacteria degradation. Based on UV-stabilized polypropylene copolymers, the membrane does not require either polymeric or liquid plasticizers to maintain its flexibility, and provides enhanced resistance to cracking caused by both chemical and environmental stress. Due to this foundation, it also provides superior resistance to ozone, oxidation and solar UV rays, as well as low temperatures.
